Bailey Mitchell is from central Illinois and completed her degree in genetic counseling at Augustana University in 2022 after previous undergraduate and graduate studies at Eastern Illinois University. She has since worked as a pediatric genetic counselor at Baylor College of Medicine and CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, in a role combining clinical care with laboratory genetic testing stewardship. Her research interests include variant interpretation and genotype-phenotype correlation in rare disease.
